Radon is a naturally occurring nuclear gas, released
underground
and travels up to the surface of the earth
following
the path of least resistance. If your new home has
a
basement or is on a slab it is strongly recommended that a
radon
test be performed.
Radon
is the number 2 reason for lung cancer and is
considered
a carcinogen.
The EPA maximum reading for radon is 4.0 microcuries.
The
test takes a minimum of three days to obtain the
sample.
The sample is then shipped to Radon Testing Labs in
Raleigh
for analysis. Usually the result of the test take 72
hours.
